Summer Fellowship Program
AMBE offers internships through the IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Program for B.Tech and M.Tech students who have completed their 6th semester and 1st semester respectively.
Program Routes
How internships work
The Summer Fellowship Program is the common application route. CFTI students applying under MoUs also use this platform for internships in the department.
CFTI MoU Route
Students from CFTIs can apply for department internships through the SFP platform under the MoUs with NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs.
Final Year Project Pathway
Selected CFTI interns may be offered an option to do their final year project in AMBE based on internship performance, subject to MoU course-work clauses.

Start
Internships usually start from April.
Duration
A minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months per intern.
Format
The internship is in person.
Stipend
Selected interns receive a stipend of ₹15,000.
