Overview
The M.Tech in Clinical Engineering is a unique joint program offered in collaboration with two of India’s foremost clinical and biomedical research institutions: Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, and the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram.
Students experience engineering education from three distinct institutional perspectives in a single degree, gaining exposure to hospital systems, clinical workflows, biomedical device regulation, and hands-on equipment management in real clinical environments. The program totals 210 credits and is designed for engineers who want to work at the direct interface of technology and patient care.

Semester 1
IIT Madras — Engineering foundations, biomedical systems, instrumentation

CMC Vellore — Clinical environment immersion, hospital technology management
